And the best part is that the paint is made of edible ingredients so it’s taste-safe, making this a great craft for kids of all ages.
My five year old son had a blast making the paint and creating the puppets and my 11 month old baby even got to participate because I didn’t have to worry about him tasting the paint.

How To Make Chick and Bunny Handprint Stick Puppets
Step 1
Cook sugar, cornstarch, and water over medium heat, whisk constantly until thick. Remove from heat and divide into three bowls. Add yellow food coloring for the chicks, blue and red for purple bunnies, and green for grass.
Step 2
To make the chicks paint your child’s hand with the yellow paint and press it onto the paper.
Step 3
To make the bunny, paint your kid’s first two fingers and palm with purple paint and press on the paper.
Step 4
To create grass, paint their fingers green and press them onto the bottom edge of the paper.
Step 5
Add details with markers. We put a simple beak, eyes, and feet on the chicks. The bunnies got a tail and whiskers. The grass got a few flowers.
